"Delfi’s solution with fully graphic electronic shelf labels is cheaper over its lifetime compared to other alternatives on the market."

Grocer, SPAR at Classensgade in Copenhagen, Denmark
With Breece System and fully graphic electronic shelf labels from Delfi, SPAR at Classensgade has achieved significant time savings and improved customer service at the same time.
There are no longer errors in pricing because the electronic shelf labels are automatically updated with price changes, and there is no risk of staff forgetting to change a shelf label. This means that the price the customer sees in the store always matches the price at checkout.
There are also fewer interruptions during the day and employees no longer have to go to the checkout and check the price differences.
The SPAR store is very pleased with the gains that have been experienced by installing the new fully graphic electronic shelf labels. Christian Wenzzel, grocer at SPAR Classensgade, says:
“We’ve got a better structure in the store and it has become easier for staff to maintain the daily operation. It’s easier to manage replenishment now because we know that the product and the price on the shelf is consistent with the store system.
At the same time, we are able to provide our customers with a better price guarantee, since the electronic shelf labels always are updated with actual information from the store system.”
The SPAR store is convinced that the fully graphic solution is both cheaper and easier to maintain over its lifetime, compared to other alternatives on the market. The grocer, Christian says:
“We were presented with both a half graphic solution (segment displays) as well as Delfi’s fully graphic solution. Delfi’s solution with fully graphic electronic shelf labels works out to be cheaper over its lifetime compared to other alternatives on the market.
At the same time, the solution is much easier to maintain and its light touch infrastructure means that it is simple to implement and eliminates the need for paper labels.
As it stands today, only by using the electronic shelf labels, I believe that the return on investment is 1-2 years. But there are many other ways in which we can speed up the ROI."
SPAR at Classensgade had been interested in implementing electronic shelf labels for some time, but the store was waiting until it was possible to lease the system.
Christian explains the leasing contract:
“I am quite sure that other SPAR stores will invest in the fully graphic electronic shelf labels when they know that they can lease the entire solution. This makes it much easier to get started."
